Home / COVID-19

Dear Members,

As the COVID-19 continues to wreak havoc on our world, we know the community we live, work and play in will come together to face the ongoing issues together.  ABA is committed to supporting you and your businesses, your employees and your future. I hope you will consider the resources we provide you, and watch for updates as they are getting announced.

We have considered what you are challenged with; and if there are areas where we missed, please contact me to find information to help you out. That is what I am here for.

At this time all Arrowhead Builders Association events have been canceled, including Homes on Parade, Members Nights Out, Team Meetings, and other.  Please know the ABA Board of Directors is working hard to keep your organization going while supporting each of you. We are working remotely and are available by appointment only; always available via cell phone: 218.940.2469

News from the City Offices
Please contact your local offices with any construction related questions. Many city offices have taken the “appointment only” approach or are going to online only for information on permits, inspections, and plans. Each city in our six-county area have their own policies in place. Until there is federal, state or county-wide mandates, the call is on the city.

Did you know you can receive up to the minute building construction news, summary of economic data and housing stats, building trends and more from these three great resources .

NAHB AND BAM

We are continuing to support NAHB and BAM efforts in lobbying for the construction industry to be deemed “an essential” business.  Announcements have not been made as of this time.  I will keep you informed as I learn more from each the states.

Please watch their sites for additional reporting: NAHB and BAM.

At this time, both MN and WI governors are considering a “stay in place” order.  Again, this has not been formally introduced and I will continue to watch for more information and get it out to you as soon as possible.

NAHB provides the above resources for “On the Job” information during the pandemic.
The Wisconsin chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors has a list of published “toolbox talks” and safety posters. Find them here: https://www.abcwi.org/covid-19-updates/#resources
